The REAL Connection is in the Process.....the Relationship.....and the Life Story
Listening to the songs from our youth, our culture, our teenage years, and those special times of our lives can literally BRING US BACK to those experiences and senses that are connected to those songs. Like a time capsule....we can close our eyes and picture ourselves in that moment. It is powerful, and it is real! We all have those special songs that are embedded in our feelings, emotions, experiences & senses.....those are the songs that connect us to our deepest and oldest Memories and often to our sense of Self. Literally, the Soundtrack of our Lives
The process of discovering and sharing those important Songs of Connection and the memories that come alive as a result is not achieved on its own; the human interaction over time becomes a Gift of Love to the person with dementia, and a source of JOY for all involved.
.After creating Playlists for literally hundreds of individuals - I still get goosebumps when the Right Song is found...the Connection is made, and the PLWD feels ALIVE.... It's an Honor and Joy every time.
Personal 1:1 Visits
2-3 Visits or Ongoing Visits
Monthly or Weekly
Cost is $50 per hour-long private visit
May be one-time costs for some music titles
and any technology provided
Visits can be in whatever Home Is for PWD
